Uorfi Javed Hits Back At Vivek Agnihotri Over His Costume Slavery Remark; Says, 'Fashion Ki Kaafi Samajh Hai'
The debate around Uorfi Javed’s sartorial choices does not seem to end anytime soon. The internet sensation has made a name for herself with her unique fashion choices in the industry and she has often been unapologetic about her opinions on public platforms.

Now, TV actor Uorfi has caught attention for training guns at filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri.

The fashionista lashed out at The Kashmir Films director for taking a dig at ‘costume slaves’ helping actor at Cannes 2023. Agnihotri shared a picture of Aishwarya Rai's wearing a dramatic white and silver gown with a huge hood at the screening of ‘Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny’ on Twitter.

His Tweet read: "Have you guys heard of a term called ‘Costume Slaves’. They are mostly girls (a suited man in this case). You can see them now in India too with almost every female celeb. Why are we becoming so stupid and oppressive just for such uncomfortable fashion?"

Following the tweet, Uorfi Javed lashed out at him saying, "Mai jaan na chalti hu Aapne kaunse fashion school se apni degree lee Hai? Aapko delh k lagta hai aapko fashion ki kaafi samajh hai , fashion movie aapko direct karni chahiye thi! (I want to know from which fashion school did you get your degree? You think you have a lot of understanding of fashion, fashion movie should have been directed by you!)."

However, Vivek Agnihotri later clarified that his remark wasn’t directed at Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. “My comment has nothing to do with ARB. It’s only about the weird concept of ‘costume slavery’. And ARB is not responsible for it. She is just a model/fashion ambassador," the filmmaker said as per News18.

On the work front, Vivek Agnihotri is busy with his upcoming directorial titled, 'The Vaccine War.'
